H.E. Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye, President of the Republic of Senegal, undertook an official visit to Kenya from 19th to 21st October 2025, during which he was the Guest of Honour at the Mashujaa Day celebrations held in Kitui County on 20th October 2025. During the visit, Kenya and Senegal signed a landmark visa waiver agreement, allowing citizens of both countries holding ordinary and diplomatic passports to travel visa-free for up to ninety (90) days. The agreement is expected to enhance trade, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges between East and West Africa, further strengthening the cordial relations between the two nations.
